Getting to the Port of Miami

If you're driving to Miami for your cruise on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, NCL or Windjammer, from anywhere along the east coast, you're undoubtedly enjoying the pleasures of Interstate-95. This very busy highway is the primary north-south connector on the eastern seaboard, running from Maine to Miami and a little beyond. From the Georgia-Florida border plan on a good long trip to Miami, about 379 miles till you exit on I-395.

Follow the directional signs to the Biscayne Boulevard exit. When you get to Biscayne Blvd., make a right. Go to 5th Street which converts to Port Blvd.
(landmark: American Airlines Basketball Arena) Make a left and go over the Port bridge. Follow directional signs to designated terminal.

Miami International Airport

The airport is located about twenty miles west of the cruise terminals. Cabs and shuttle service to and from the port is readily available in the lower level baggage claim area. For those using cruise line transfers, watch for cruise line representatives in the baggage claim area. They will usually be holding signs for their cruise line or ship and will direct you to the appropriate motor coach for the quick drive to the port.
